My mother was seen at San Jose Clinic by Dr. Rytting. While I understand this is a volunteer clinic, we were very disappointed by the lack of empathy shown toward my mother while she was clearly in pain. She has severe arthritis in her leg, and during the exam, her leg was moved in a way that caused her significant pain. When she reacted and cried out, instead of showing understanding, Dr. Rytting told her to stop whining “like a little kid.” I calmly spoke up and told him that this was not an appropriate way to treat my mother. At that point, he told us to leave the clinic and personally escorted us out. At no time did we disrespect him or any member of the staff. Earlier in the visit, my mother had mentioned that she had gone to the ER prior to her appointment after being advised to do so by clinic staff, and he commented that it was a “waste of money,” which felt dismissive. What was most discouraging was what happened afterward. When I attempted to file a complaint on my mother’s behalf, the staff did not seem to take the concern seriously. We were given the runaround, and the call was ultimately disconnected, leaving us feeling dismissed and unheard. Even in a volunteer setting, patients deserve compassion, respect, and for their concerns to be taken seriously!

I don’t think there are enough words to describe how I feel about the San Jose clinic and their staff. I’ve been going there for about 6 years. I LOOOOVE THEM! The treatment by the doctors, the staff, the pharmacy, everyone is so professional! Even the security is nice and welcoming! I highly recommend this facility.

San José Clinic has been a blessing to our family care. As I was gonna write this review I was reading some of these reviews and honestly some of y’all don’t have common sense. This Clinic is not free. It clearly says “ low cost” for those who haven’t gone to a private practice with no insurance, it shows!! The services provided here are excellent and cheaper. This prices are not compared to a simple $200 doctor visit or a $1,800 Root Canal. Medical services here are beyond my expectations and let’s not talk about Dental!! Dental services are excellent. The Dentists here go beyond for my care and I’m pretty sure they go beyond for every patient. Take in mind is called a dental practice because every procedure has its own effects on every patient. Don’t blame your toothache for the dentists “bad job”. Every treatment is different is every one of us. The Dental Assistants are so courageous and have such a good energy. The front desk girls are respectful funny and easy to talk to, they really make sure to take care of you. Appointments are pretty far out but that’s expected to the amount of patients. I’m just really thankful for San Jose and their employees, they took away my anxiety of paying so much in other places with no insurance and made sure I get the care i deserve. Everybody’s experience is different but I assure you they go beyond for every patient. Like they did on me and my family. I 100% recommend this hidden gem to anyone who is planning to apply here.
