We have a two-story home with an entry staircase featuring hardwood floors. While we love the aesthetic, the stairs can be rather treacherous in sock feet. This was further complicated by a three-tier horseshoe landing that can appear flat in dim light. For our safety as we age and for that of our guests and grandchildren, we began looking for options that would make the stairs safer while maintaining their visual appeal. That’s when we reached out to Flaherty’s. Our design consultant, Rhonda, presented several options, and we ultimately decided on a custom stair runner. She arranged for the owner, Patrick, to visit our home and take the initial measurements so an estimate could be prepared. Just two days later, Rhonda followed up with pricing for two options and scheduled the template measurement with the installer. The installer worked closely with us to determine the ideal runner width and how the transitions would align across the three graduated landings before seamlessly connecting to the final run of stairs to the top floor. Once everything was finalized, he created templates for each landing and the connecting treads, then returned to his shop to construct the pieces and custom-finish the edges. A week later he returned for the final installation, and the attention to detail was exceptional. The finished runner not only looks beautiful but also provides the traction and visual definition we were hoping for The entire experience was frictionless. Everyone we worked with was knowledgeable, professional, and personable. The project moved quickly and efficiently (about one month from initial consultation to installation), and we were kept informed every step of the way. We were extremely impressed and are thrilled with the final result. If you’re in need of any type of flooring—carpet, hardwood, or tile I highly recommend giving Flaherty’s a call. We will certainly use them again in the future.

We recently purchased a new house and removed all of the carpet upstairs and on the stairs. We replaced this with wood flooring and Flaherty’s made the entire process so easy! Their show room is beautiful with tons of options. Rhonda helped us make our selections and get everything quoted. Patrick came all the way to Katy to measure and Johnny and his team did a wonderful job demoing and installing! Everyone was extremely professional. The team was very knowledgeable and kept a very clean workspace. We will be using Flaherty’s again!

I spent 6 months or more looking at several floor stores and probably 40-50 engineered wood floor samples. Ultimately, I chose to do business with Flaherty's Flooring for their excellent customer service, the large selection of flooring samples that is great quality at reasonable prices, and financing options. The owners were so nice when they came out to take measurements. Rhonda was a great sales person. She was very knowledgeable and helped guide me to what I was looking for. Flooring is a long term investment and I wanted to make sure I'd be happy with my choice for many years to come. Rhonda was patient as I spent months trying multiple samples. I found the perfect flooring for me. The install went well and the installers Lucas and Brayden were great, friendly, hardworking, great attention to detail and took pride in their work. I absolutely love my new floors. I plan to use Flaherty's again for future flooring, tile, or stone work.

We had a wonderful experience working with Rhonda. No hard sell. Plenty of patience. There was a large selection of flooring. Mr. Flaherty came out to measure our rooms. Hard flooring install by Lucas was first rate. He was very personable.

Great from the start. Kirstie was very welcoming and talked me through the process. Patrick came over within a couple of days for the estimate, Kirstie was great in helping pick the flooring and gave samples to take home. Installation was scheduled and Johnny was on time and talked me through their process and answered all questions. Flooring looks great and the entire experience was fabulous from start to finish. Highly recommend!!
