Very disappointed with OGD. I have used them for a few years now with fairly good service. A few months ago I had them out to deal with 2 houses (4 doors) for maintenance, adjustment, etc. They tech did the work and it seemed ok. Shortly thereafter one of the doors was very "clanky" and he had told me to reach out to him directly with any issues. I did this multiple times and he never replied. I finally called the main number and got someone out who tightened up a few bolts and charged me $150. I paid it, but said I wanted to speak to a manager. Getting to a manager was like pulling teeth and I still have not received a call back. Some of the folks on the phone were nice and some were very rude. This is just not a company I need to give my money to. There are many, many options for Garage Door companies in Houston. If you can't speak to someone in charge when you have a customer issue, there is a much bigger issue with the company in my opinion. Follow up after OGD response below: This is really a poor response compared to what happened. And if you call $150 a discount for tightening 4 bolts there is really something wrong. STILL, no one has really got back to me to address these concerns that has any authority to do anything. It looks to me like $150 is going to cost you a customer! No need to call me any longer. Enough is Enough!
The technician arrived on-time and was very thorough. He clearly explained everything that needed to be done and the cost involved. He took pictures along the way to show that the work was complete. He did a MUCH better job than the previous company with similar name…who did not do everything that was to be done, and never followed up after! I highly recommend Overhead GARAGE door…..make sure you get the correct company!
Marty did an amazing job on repairing our garage door as well as offering great advice on needed maintenance. We will continue to use Overhead Garage Door, because of their trustworthy service and commitment in doing what is best for the customer.
The Service Man was very good at finding out the problem of my garage door not closing. He replaced both sensors and performed maintenance on the entire system. He even programmed 2 new remote controls that I recently purchased.
We experienced a catastrophic mechanical failure. The door was twisted and half off the tracks. This all occurred at 4:30pm. We called OBD and their technician arrived a bit after 6:00 and the door was fully rebuilt, tuned up and working well before 7:00. David was great and we couldn’t be happier with the after hours service.
