This was one of the most cold and disheartening experiences I’ve ever had. We contacted this funeral home after the unexpected loss of someone very close to us. His family is out of state, and we simply asked if we could be present during his cremation so he wouldn’t be alone. This was not about a service, not about anything elaborate, just basic human decency during an incredibly painful time. The first person I spoke to was completely monotone and detached, offering no sense of empathy whatsoever. I genuinely thought I was speaking to an automated system. After explaining the situation, I was later told it would “likely not be possible” for us to be there, which, while upsetting, we accepted since we understand we are not familiar with their process. Then came the email. Suddenly, it was possible, but only if we were willing to pay nearly $700. So let me be clear: compassion and accommodation are apparently available here, but only with a price tag attached. We were not asking for anything unreasonable. We were grieving and simply didn’t want our loved one to be alone. To turn around and monetize that request after initially dismissing it is not only inconsistent, it’s deeply insensitive. The lack of communication, the contradiction between staff, and the overall absence of empathy were shocking. At a time when people are at their most vulnerable, this business chose to be transactional instead of human. I would strongly encourage others to look elsewhere during such an important and emotional time.

Mike has helped many of my friends in their hardest times. We never know what to do for him, so to start, we should just let everyone know how wonderful this family is. Michael always goes out of his way to make us feel at ease with care of our loved ones. He is incredibly involved in the community, beyond the end of life services. Including helping the children in the local hospitals during the holidays. This family company is more than just a funeral home. They are a stitch in the community. Thank you Michael. Still upset about having my family choose you to lay my mother to rest over 11 years ago. Incorrect advertisement of funeral items. Not a happy camper here.

Although it was under tragic circumstances, doing business with Gendron Funeral Home was an absolute pleasure!! Michael, Amy and Tristan helped my family and I through a heartbreaking time and for that I will forever be grateful. The Gendron Funeral Home Staff is very professional, caring and understanding. Which is why I highly recommend them to anyone in need of these services! Thank you to the entire staff for the selfless work you do every day!!

My family owes the entire staff at Gendron so much! We lost my mother during the first phase of the pandemic and they not only helped us navigate through such a confusing period with new social distances, but also gave my family much needed closure that we probably wouldn't have had any where else.not only were they professional and beyond prompt, they were caring and devoted, almost like extended family. We are forever grateful for their support and care that they showed to our family. Gendron is now apart of our family💕
