I went to guitar center to buy my new DJ Controller. The box look like it’s been through it, but I honestly don’t care about the box only the controller. I ask the person selling me if it was new and he said yes. Took it home and after opening it, it was used. I could see minor scratches and weird splatters on the controller. I was upset because I paid for new and expected new controller. Next day I returned it and the person at the register wanted to take a look and she took a quick glance and she look at me as if I was crazy. To be fair, you couldn’t really see much of the splatter in dim lighting. But I explained to her that the cords were tucked not in a bag like new controllers have. She ask if I wanted to order it and I told her I wanted to call and check if Naples had it. Which she offer to call for me and I waited. Until she said she couldn’t and I would have to call them and I did. I eventually ask for a gift card so I can buy it at Naples. When I got to Naples I got the controller and had 4$ left on the store card. I was told by an employee at fort Myers that the taxes are cheaper in fort Myers so I should buy the controller there. But after asking Naples employees they said it was the other way around, proof is that I paid extra 4$ for my controller in fort Myers. 4$ is not a big deal but the misinformation and selling used gear as new is a big deal. Especially if you are buying items worth +900$.
Staff are polite and resourceful! This location is well equipped with instruments. They have instructors that are talented and trained in their profession, I look forward to taking lessons here!
I want to give a shoutout to Stefano B. at Guitar Center. I called on 1/24/26 looking to purchase drumsticks for an upcoming gig and was told they didn’t have what I needed, so I didn’t come in that day. I decided to stop by the store on 1/25/26 just to double check, and I’m really glad I did. Stefano helped me out immediately with no issues at all. He went in the back and got exactly what I needed and made the whole experience smooth and stress free. Super helpful, professional, and genuinely kind. Because of him, I was able to get what I needed for my gig. Excellent customer service Stefano is awesome and deserves recognition.
Service was great, some asked us if we needed help almost immediately. Was able to play a few drum sets but all but one e-kit was not plugged in. Overall great experience.
Big thanks to Mark and the team at Ft Myers GC helping me through an online order, coordinating with other stores to get a couple items delivered to yet another location. I purchased a used guitar online that stated “great” condition, but they called me to let me know that one didn’t meet their standards, so they worked to source another guitar and included the case that was part of the original purchase. Really appreciate all the efforts across 3 different stores to complete the purchase and delivery after some initial complications. Thank you!
