They are completely dishonest! Ive rented from Hertz multiple times and never had an issue! Reserved a truck for 3 days, quoted $157. (Average) Returned the truck on time, full of gas and clean. They then tried to charge my credit card for an additional $1000 and refused to return my deposit. Ive filed a formal complaint with the SC attorney General! Whom stated this non corporate location was already under investigation for deceptive business practices!
0 starts for that location… Very disappointing experience at the Hertz location at 420 N. Pleasantburg Dr in Greenville, SC today around 3 PM. I had a confirmed reservation through my insurance and even called ahead—manager assured me the vehicle would be ready. Upon arrival with my three children, the manager was not present and the front desk employee was dismissive and unhelpful. After waiting nearly an hour with no clear answers, I was simply told “have a great day” with no resolution. As a President’s Circle member, I expect a much higher level of professionalism and customer care. This experience showed a complete lack of communication and accountability. I hope Hertz addresses this issue so other customers don’t go through the same situation.
The store is great. I am too used to the quickness of the airport stores. This one took a good bit longer to get everything done so I could leave with my rental. But at least the staff were very polite and helpful!
I will only rent from Hertz! I like the boss the employees and all. Always take care of me. Not renting through my insurance company, not as long as HERTZ is in business. Yall rock South Pleasantburg Drive!! Chris, Lexie, Dillon.
I had a great experience from start to finish! The agent called me ahead of pickup to ensure I knew what documentation to bring so there was no confusion once I arrived. The process quick and simple and my rental was clean and full of gas. I will definitely return for any future rentals!
