We have an old HVAC system that we aren’t quite ready to replace, but about 1-2 times a year it stops working and Darrell and his son come out and fix it up. They have been absolutely amazing to work with. Very friendly, polite and knowledgeable. We recommend them to all our friends and family, and when we finally replace the unit, we will definitely be calling Darrell. 10/10 service every time!
My air conditioner (HVAC) was having freezing issues. I called Darrell to put Freon in the unit. He stated that the unit was leaking Freon where the pipe goes into the compressor and that he could put stop leak in the unit to stop the leak and then put Freon in. My husband watched him for most of the repair. The compressor wasn’t leaking until my husband came inside and then went back out, and then the contractor advised that the compressor was leaking. My unit is only 3 years old, and there was still a little Freon in the unit when the contractor came out. After he left, a day later we noticed the unit was still leaking. The stop leak did not repair the unit as he said it did, and what was a slow unnoticeable leak was now leaking profusely. All the Freon that we paid to have put in, leaked out in one day. We paid $400.00 for nothing and now the situation is worse than before. I called him and told him what was going on. He didn’t seem to care and said it must be the compressor and quoted me a price to replace the compressor. Which is a very expensive repair that I feel could avoided prior to his arrival. He did not want to make this right. I mean, ALL THE FREON I PAID FOR LEAKED OUT IN ONE DAY and he acted as though he could care less. No reimbursement, partial refund, no apology, no offer to come back out unless we paid him more money. He also noted on the receipt that he cleaned the coils. I can assure you the coils were filthy and we had to go buy cleaner to clean them ourselves. ABSOLUTELY DO NOT RECOMMEND.
