We sought five quotations for the sale of our house, chose John D Wood in Wimbledon and did not regret it. Peter Woods managed the process and was patient, available, knowledgeable and reassuring, acting in our interests not self-interest (as has been our experience with another agency that claims to dominate in Merton Park). Peter seemed to establish a relationship of trust with the buyers and was just what you would hope for in an agent.

We recently completed the purchase of our new home. I was very impressed by how Peter Woods handled the entire process, from initial viewing through to completion. Peter was responsive and easily contactable, even from before we had made an offer. We arranged multiple visits between offer acceptance up to exchange of contracts (builders, architects), and Peter was always accommodating. As a buyer, it was extremely helpful to have Peter's guidance, keeping things on track yet not placing undue pressure on either us or the seller. I highly recommend to buyers or sellers.

Extremely poor experience with this estate agent, specifically Xander, who was dealing with the purchase of a property. Decision-changing information about the property’s immediate surrounding area was not disclosed early on in the purchase, which we later found out was well known within the Wimbledon circuit and was publicly available (unbeknown to us at the time). This information was going to emerge from solicitor searches, and ultimately meant we decided to pull out of the sale leading to wasting time and money (6+ weeks, thousands of pounds). I highly recommend avoiding buying a property from this agent based on the selected information shared, poor communication and handling of the parties involved (no acknowledgement of the situation or apology was ever provided).

My wife and I have had quite a pleasant experience with John D Wood & Co over the past week. We have been searching for our first time purchase for a little while now and so we have dealt with a variety of agents from a number of different estate agencies. Xander from John D Wood has particularly stood out from amongst others by going the extra mile in getting to understand our situation inside and out. He is both personable and relatable, as he has lived experiences similar to those of our own. We did not feel pushed into making decisions that we weren’t comfortable with. Xander handled any concerns we had with a solution-focussed approach respective of our needs, which felt truly genuine. Although we decided not to pursue our first purchase with this company, we will certainly remember the sincerity and professionalism that was shown to us from the team at John D Wood & Co when it comes to any future purchases.
