Asya has not only helped my kids grow musically, but she has also cared for them as people. Even one of them who quit because music was not her thing, still takes interest in the others progress because Asya made her feel comfortable and appreciated. She is also always willing to work with our schedule.

I only took lessons with Dr. Teruni for a short time, but under her guidance my skill and technique improved greatly. She is patient and gentle, while pushing her students to achieve their best. She is also flexible and willing to work with students who have changing time schedules. I would recommend her to both experienced players and beginner students.

I came to Asya after my previous piano teacher passed and within the first class she provided one of the best and warm learning experiences ever. I had learned to play more rigorous pieces before I came but with her I realized that I was missing a fundamental building block of piano learning: technique. I was able to improve immensely with the advice and practices she gave me. She not only allowed me to grow as a musician but also as a person. When learning under her, however, you will have to put in the work (as one should) and she will mold you into a great piano player. Although I came in much later (end of junior year) and chose not to continue to do competitions I know that other students of her's went and won various competitions, scholarships, and FSTMA awards of excellence (student day, etc.). I definitely recommend her teaching and even though I am not studying music in university (I am studying physics) it was still an invaluable experience.

This is a piano teacher who takes the time to understand the goals of the student. She has a nice demeanor but also makes sure the students are following all the “rules” of playing so no bad habits are developed. She helped my daughter learn the notes so quickly. She also makes sure she is counting and has good posture. If you want to participate in recitals, that is an option.

Dr. Teruni is an incredible teacher. In just a few lessons, she has given my son the tools he needs to make huge strides. And he continues to improve and learn quickly. Even he seems surprised by the difference her instruction has made. We absolutely adore Miss Asya, and recommend her wholeheartedly.
