The service provided by the Technician Wyatt was excellent! Demonstrated knowledge on the job he performed in providing the proper Maintenance to the A/C system. Thank you for all you do!

We’ve lived in our home for five years and have always had our HVAC systems serviced regularly. In that time, we’ve never had a single issue with either unit. We recently signed up for this company’s maintenance program and scheduled what was supposed to be a routine service visit. Unfortunately, the experience raised several concerns. First, the technician entered our home without shoe covers or taking any precautions to protect our floors. After completing the service and telling us he was finished, he suddenly said he needed to go back into the crawl space because he had forgotten to tighten a “loose wire.” That struck me as odd, especially since he had already completed the inspection and was preparing to leave. During the visit, I mentioned that the front rooms of our house tend to get a little warmer than the rest of the home. I explained that previous technicians had told us the issue was related to a damper. He said he could adjust it, but that doing so would make the rest of the house warmer. He claimed to have made an adjustment, but there was no indication that anything was actually changed. The next issue was the capacitor. The technician told us it needed to be replaced and warned that it could “explode” if we didn’t replace it. We were charged $153 for the capacitor alone. Later, I discovered the same part sells for approximately $18 online and roughly $25 through HVAC supply houses. He initially attempted to sell us a $275 version with an extended warranty. Since labor was supposedly included as part of the maintenance program, the $153 charge was strictly for the part itself. The markup felt excessive and the sales approach felt unnecessarily alarmist. In addition to that, we were charged another $200 to enroll our second unit in the company’s maintenance program. One of the advertised benefits of the program is priority service and the ability to call for assistance when issues arise. That promise was put to the test almost immediately. The very next day after the maintenance visit, our AC stopped blowing cold air. We called the company’s service line multiple times on a Sunday evening, left two messages, and received no response. At the time of writing this review, no one has returned our calls. What makes this especially concerning is that we had no issues with our system before this service visit. After five years of reliable operation, a technician performs maintenance, replaces a capacitor, mentions a forgotten loose wire, and then less than 24 hours later the unit stops cooling altogether. Between the maintenance program fees, additional charges, the extreme markup on the capacitor, the pressure tactics used to sell it, the unanswered service calls, and the fact that our AC failed immediately after their visit, I am left feeling more taken advantage of than taken care of. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend this company.

Vicky here leaving this review on my husband's account. Excellent company! We purchased a Great Southern Home last fall and this is the company that provides warranty repairs. Our first contact there was Alissa who is their customer service representative and she was great. Blair came out to repair our air conditioning and was great too. Both Blair and Alissa were friendly, polite, efficient and knowledgeable. We'll definitely be requesting Blair if we need any future repairs. It's clear the employees take pride in their work and want their customers to be happy. We highly recommend them after our experience and are thrilled to have our A/C working again! Thank you!!

Created an appointment for next day afternoon. I was contacted and had a technician at my home in 1 hour, same day. That's awesome service. BUT, I replaced a thermostat I was quoted for $380 for $130. I literally bought something on Amazon and plugged it in.

Long Heating & Air came out to my house today to fix a pump problem with my AC unit in the basement, and I couldn’t be happier with the service. Zach was very professional, honest, and hardworking. He worked quickly, got the job done right, and now my AC is working great again. Everything is back to normal, and I will definitely use Long Heating & Air again. Highly recommend!
