I went to Houston Foot Doctor because I had painful ingrown toenails. Even though I have health insurance, I was charged $300 for the visit and treatment. Later, when I received the Explanation of Benefits (EOB) from my insurance company, it showed that my responsibility was only $45, while the insurance had already covered the remaining amount. What upset me the most was feeling that they took advantage of the situation, assuming I would not notice the difference. Insurance companies send patients detailed statements showing exactly how much they pay and how much the patient is supposed to pay, so it is easy to verify these charges. For this reason, I encourage everyone to carefully review their insurance benefits and billing statements to make sure they are being charged correctly. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this office because I believe their billing practices were unfair. Charging the patient significantly more than the amount indicated by the insurance explanation is not acceptable and raises serious concerns. I would like to update my previous review regarding my experience at Houston Foot Doctor. Initially, I had concerns about the billing, as I was charged more than what my insurance Explanation of Benefits indicated as my responsibility. However, after posting my review, the office contacted me and issued a refund of $210, which I appreciate. Regarding the medical care, I am very satisfied with the treatment I received from the podiatrist. My ingrown toenails were treated successfully, and I have not had any issues since the procedure. Overall, I am happy with the quality of the medical care provided. My main concern was related to billing, but it was later resolved. I hope the office continues to improve their billing process to avoid confusion for future patients.

My appointment was quick & efficient. The staff was really nice. Dr. Tate was very informative & made sure that I understood what I needed to do on my part to eliminate the issue permanently. The confidence she had while she was giving me instructions made me feel even more comfortable. I hope I don't have to go to the podiatrist ever again, but if I do, I'll definitely be going back to Dr. Tate.

Extremely pleasant experience. Welcoming reception. Dr. Tate explores the possible "why" behind your challenges and she presents several options for healing! I highly recommend the professional office. Take care of your feet if you want to keep them!🦶💓

Houston Foot Dr. is absolutely amazing! Dr. Tate is a wonderful doctor — warm, welcoming, and incredibly skilled. She made me feel comfortable from the moment I walked in. I came in with painful ingrown nails, and she took amazing care of me. Within just a few days, I feel so much better. I’m truly grateful for her kindness and expertise. Highly recommend Dr Tate.

Houston Foot Dr is the best in town! I visited their office because I was a bit concerned about my runners toes and upon calling they were able to see me same day. The staff is very friendly and kind. Dr. Tate was very informative and gave me so many tips on how to protect my toes. I’ve recommended her to so many of my runner friends and I’ll be coming back for any future foot issues I may have. Thank you Dr. Tate, you’re the best!
