My new Epiphone guitar is back from Reflection Guitars. What a big improvement in playability the setup made. Josh lowered the nut and lowered the strings a bit. He also adjusted the truss rod and the intonation. I was told that a good setup was money well spent, and I must agree! Thanks, Josh!
Josh worked on a Sire Marcus Miller 5 string bass guitar for me a few weeks back. He did a great job explaining the process, understanding what I wanted done and was up front about the cost. The work done was for fret dressing, intonation and a set up. He was professional, friendly and communicative throughout the process. My bass sounds feels and plays great. I highly recommend that you check him out.
For some time, I had been having a problem with a couple of flat notes on one of the strings on my Taylor acoustic guitar. Even though I had replaced the strings twice, I still couldn’t get it to sound right. I finally decided to get it checked out. I wasn’t sure where to take it, but I saw some good reviews on Reflection Guitars (Josh) and decided to have him check it out. He took a look and suggested doing a new complete set up. About a week later, I picked up the guitar. The guitar sounded great and no more flat notes. He throughly explained what he thought the problem had been and his price was more than reasonable. I would definitely recommend Josh at Reflection Guitars to anyone needing work on their guitar.
Josh took my mid 90’s Yamaha Compass, which I haven’t touched in years (used to play a lot of bar gigs and shows in Chicago back then) and made me fall in love with it all over again. Josh knows his way around a guitar, and couldn’t be a nicer guy! He re-glued the nut and made some adjustments to the action, and I can’t put the damned thing down! Can’t recommend him enough.
I brought two guitars to Josh (1) a new Martin 000-18 requiring a set up and (2 ) a rare high quality ealy 60’s Harmony Tenor .Although in overall excellent condition it required bridge work. Josh’s craftsmanship was outstanding.The tenors tonation and sustain greatly improved! The Martin playability’s have greatly increased having a lower action ,thanks Josh !
