We were on our way to start the journey back home and wanted some breakfast so decided to go here. We were met with friendly staff who seemed to quickly let ys know that most of the tables were reserved and gave us a table against the back wall. It was kibd of funny as we couldn't see any "reserved" signs and the place was mostly empty the whole time we were there. Once seated I decided on the Greek Scrambled Eggs on Sourdough Toast which also had a variety of other ingredients. I also had them add a side of bacon and complimented with my usual Dirty Chai. It came to about $35 with the food being very delicious and my drink made perfectly. The place feels nice and clean and the decor definitely adds to its Greek theme.
Started with the pan fried haloumi saganaki. Main was spanakopitta (spinach slice in filo pastry) With a side of Greek salad ( it was so good I had to ask for some bread to dip in the juice ) Desert was the Baklava cigar. The meals are good sized and with wonderful flavour. The staff are very friendly, they took the time to make sure my experience was enjoyable.
Being vegan, I inquired about suitable menu options before I made my booking. Ritsa ensured that I was catered for when we came into the restaurant, serving me this yummy 'Yemitsa', a generous serve of stuffed tomatoes and capsicum, washed down with a lovely Greek red wine (also vegan). The rest of the family (not vegans!) were suitably impressed with their lamb souvlaki bowl, halloumi souvlaki bowl and moussaka. The friendly wait staff were polite and professional. A great night out!
Very accommodating when we add a couple more to our booking. Very friendly, articulated. Eye for detail & a great variety of choices on the menu. Food was beautiful
We are regulars at Elaia. A great place. Staff are attentive and friendly and food is always great. Love the Tasmanian wine selections and the Greek options too. Great to learn about their wine.
