Captain Charlie’s Reef Grill is the definition of “don’t judge a book by its cover.” The outside and location definitely have that hole-in-the-wall feel. (Honestly, enough to make you wonder if you should turn around. I’m so glad we didn’t!) The food was absolutely divine. I ordered the grouper cheeks, and my husband had the “Rock”-topus. Both dishes were outstanding, but the real star of the meal was the mac and cheese. Skip reading the menu and order the mac and cheese!! You won’t regret it! The fresh, house-made noodles make all the difference, and you can absolutely taste the quality. For dessert, we tried the key lime pie and the peanut butter pie, both of which were excellent. However, the cinnamon oatmeal cookie ice cream completely stole the show. It was one of the best desserts I’ve had in a long time. The portions were respectable, and the quality of the food was exceptional. My only real drawback was the price. While the food is fantastic, the prices felt more in line with an upscale, formal restaurant than a casual hole-in-the-wall spot. We also weren’t fans of the complimentary coleslaw. Overall, the incredible food makes this place worth trying. Just be prepared to pay fine-dining prices in a very casual setting. I’d absolutely go back for the mac and cheese and that cinnamon oatmeal cookie ice cream alone!

This has been a favorite restaurant of ours for years. Amazing food, excellent wine list, and consistently excellent service. We moved away from Florida 7 years ago so our visit tonight was extra special. Everything was just as great as we remembered. One thing. Don't skip the icecream it's made in house and absolutely delicious.

We enjoyed a nice dinner , our first visit. The food was excellent, and fresh. I had the Mac & cheese shrimp, scallop rigatoni with cream sauce that was delicious. My wife had the Blackened scallop salad that was very tasty with 4 large scallops. Finished it off with a piece of Capt Cahrlies ice cream pie that was decident. Only issues are that the restaurant can be loud as it's usually crowded due to it's popularity. Our server, Taylor was extremely good at his job and very friendly.....checked on us often. There is a "waiting" bar next door , service was slow maybe because there is only one bar tender for the entire room....but it was better than waiting outside. We will definitely return when back in town.

This restaurant has a huge menu, beautiful selection of amazing dishes. Unique and tasty. Our server Taylor was an exceptional waiter. He was very knowledgeable about local restaurants and the area. Looking forward to going back at some point!!

I was quite delighted at the amount of seafood for the price AND the flavor of it. The service was tremendous and made us feel welcome as we hung out for an eternity gradually ordering each course as we went along enjoying our time conversing and enjoying.
